Human E-Cadherin, C-His Tag (ECD) Protein
cat.: HA210886
Product name: Human E-Cadherin, C-His Tag (ECD)
Catalog No.: HA210886
Bio-Activity: Testing in progress.
Purity: >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin: Less than 1.0 EU per μg by the LAL method.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH7.4, 5% Trehalose, 5% mannitol.
Background: Cadherins are calcium-dependent cell adhesion proteins. They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells; cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types. CDH1 is involved in mechanisms regulating cell-cell adhesions, mobility and proliferation of epithelial cells. E-Cad/CTF2 promotes non-amyloidogenic degradation of Abeta precursors. Has a strong inhibitory effect on APP C99 and C83 production.
